Community gardens used to be a necessity. Now, our busy lives make them seem like more of a hobby. But they’re still a super important way to build strong communities and grow healthy, nutritious food.
And the Lake Trail Community School Garden staff wants you to be a part of that.
They’re hosting an “open garden” Sunday, September 25th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
It’s a beautiful space to wander in, and staff want to take this community hub to the next level.
Come learn about future plans and even make suggestions for the garden space. Want to volunteer? Sign up as a worker bee!
LTCES staff and board members will also be there to chat about future projects and workshops.
The open house is completely free. There will be light refreshments and a community activity to really bring folks together.
Families, school staff, youth and children, past and future volunteers, community members… all are welcome to attend.
Come take part in this exciting outdoor get-together in West Courtenay!
