Are you busy on Saturday August 27th? We hope not, because this year’s North Island Music Fest is the place to be.
Last year’s Party at the Big Burl was so successful, Gate House Theatre is bringing the festival back for another round.

Time: 2:00 to 10:30
Place: Baseball field downtown, 1473 Broughton Blvd in Port McNeil
Like last year, the festival will feature local music, bands, and vendors. You can also get craft beer from Devil’s Bath Brewery. And if you want to bring the kids, there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, and other activities to tire them out.

This year’s music festival will be a major fundraiser for Gate House Theatre. According to North Island Rising, the event is being supported by the town and local business leaders. It’s also a great chance to volunteer and connect with other folks who love music in your community.
Gord Oppen is the president of Gate House Theatre. He explained how events like this need community support and volunteers to be really successful.
“Without this kind financial support and volunteer help, an event of this magnitude would be impossible to put on,” he said.
